Dr. Honl graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1975 and has been practicing dentistry in Stevens Point ever since.  In addition to all the usual general dental services, Dr. Honl also provides Laser Periodontal Therapy, Sedation Dentistry, TMD/facial pain treatment, and dental management of snoring and sleep apnea.

In 1991 Dr. Honl received his Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) for completing over 500 hours of continuing education and passing the Fellowship exam.  Then in 2008 he received his Mastership of the AGD for completing over 1,100 hours in continuing education.  Achieving Mastership (MAGD) is a professional designation within the AGD that reflects a general dentist's ongoing commitment to provide quality care through continuing education.  Dr. Honl as served as chairperson of the Peer Review Committee for Central Wisconsin and has been a mentor for Marquette University School of Dentistry students.  He has many professional memberships including membership to the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of Sleep Medicine, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Wisconsin Dental Association.  

Dr. Honl has two wonderful children.  His son Daniel is a dentist in the NAVY who is attending his first year of Oral Surgery School in Bethesda, Maryland.  His daughter Ellie received her Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking and teaches at UW-Stevens Point.  In his free time, Dr. Honl enjoys fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing, reading, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
